What to expect on the day
You check in at the flight lounge for coffee or tea and snacks before take-off. The balloon launches from an airport, which lets it fly just before sunrise, and approaches Napa from the west. On a clear day you can see the Mayacamas Mountains, the Carneros vineyards and even the San Francisco skyline. After landing, the pilot leads the traditional ballooners’ toast with champagne and shares some ballooning history.
