The Arch at Land’s End in Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos

Los Cabos sits at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. It is really two towns joined by a 20-mile coastal highway: Cabo San Lucas, with the marina, the famous rock arch at Land’s End and most of the nightlife, and San José del Cabo, a quieter colonial town with an art district and a slower pace. Between them, the Tourist Corridor is lined with luxury resorts, golf courses and calm swimming coves.

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is about 15 minutes from San José del Cabo, 25 to 35 minutes from the Tourist Corridor and 40 to 50 minutes from Cabo San Lucas. Many beaches here have strong surf, so check before you swim. Browse resorts and tours in Los Cabos below, from all-inclusive resorts on Medano Beach to whale-watching trips (December to April) and boat tours to the Arch.
