Grand Velas Los Cabos
About Grand Velas Los Cabos
Grand Velas Los Cabos is a luxury all-inclusive resort on the tourist corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. All 307 suites face the Sea of Cortez, each one is larger than 1,180 square feet, and some come with a private plunge pool. A triple-height lobby opens straight onto the ocean view as you arrive.
The resort describes itself as the only all-inclusive in the world to hold Forbes Five Stars, AAA Five Diamonds and a Michelin star at the same time. In practice that means very high service, serious restaurants and a large spa, all included in one rate. It works for couples who want a refined stay and for families who want kids and teens clubs at a top-tier property.

Getting there from Los Cabos International Airport
Grand Velas Los Cabos is on the Transpeninsular Highway at Km 17.3, between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is the nearest airport, and the drive follows the highway along the coast. To skip the taxi lines, you can book a private Los Cabos airport transfer in advance so your driver is waiting when you land.
At Los Cabos airport, the exit after customs is lined with sales desks offering transport and timeshare presentations. If you have a pre-booked transfer, keep walking outside to the meeting point where drivers hold name signs. Booking ahead fixes the price and avoids waiting in line after a long flight.
Good to know
Los Cabos is dry and sunny for most of the year. Winter, roughly December to April, is high season and also whale-watching season, when humpback and gray whales visit the area. Summers are hot, and the Pacific hurricane season runs from mid-May to November. Many beaches here have strong currents, so swim only where the beach is marked as safe.
