About Secrets Aura Cozumel

Secrets Aura Cozumel is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort on the island’s southwest coast, along the Carretera Costera Sur hotel zone. It has 266 suites, all non-smoking, and most of its eight restaurants serve a la carte, which keeps dinners relaxed and varied.

What sets it apart is the calm, grown-up atmosphere and the range of suites, including swim-out options with direct pool access and a Preferred Club level with its own lounge. It suits couples, honeymooners and friends who want quiet days on the water and good restaurants in the evening, without children around.

Activities and entertainment

Non-motorized water sports include kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing and snorkeling, and there are catamaran outings. Scuba diving is available at an extra cost, which is a big draw on an island known for its reefs.

On land you can play tennis, basketball, beach volleyball or table tennis. Evenings bring theme nights and live entertainment.

Beyond the resort, Cozumel is best known for the reefs of the Cozumel Reefs National Park along its southwest coast, which draw divers and snorkelers from around the world. San Miguel, the island’s only town, has a waterfront promenade, shops and local restaurants, and passenger ferries connect it with Playa del Carmen on the mainland.

Who it’s best for

  • Best for: couples, honeymooners and adult friends who want an all-inclusive stay with mostly a la carte dining, swim-out suites and easy access to Cozumel’s reefs.
  • Consider another resort if: you are travelling with children, want to walk to San Miguel, or prefer an on-site spa building rather than one at the neighbouring resort.

Getting there from Cozumel International Airport

The resort is about 17 km from Cozumel International Airport (CZM), roughly 25 minutes by car. Chankanaab National Park is about 6 km away.

Taxis wait outside the terminal, but a pre-booked transfer means your driver is waiting with your name when you land. Allow a little extra time on busy cruise-ship days, when traffic around San Miguel is heavier.
