Rooms and suites

Most rooms are suites, from junior suites with garden or ocean views to two-bedroom master suites with swim-up access. The Reserve offers its own adults-only categories, up to a Presidential Suite on the oceanfront.

Meals and drinks are included at eight restaurants, plus a coffee corner. Bars include two swim-up bars, three poolside bars and three beach bars.

Beach, pools and spa

The resort faces Bavaro Beach and has 11 outdoor pools with hydromassage areas, plus a children’s pool. Pools are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

YHI Spa offers Asian-inspired therapies and a hydrotherapy circuit with jet pools, a Turkish bath and a cold plunge. Treatments need a reservation.

Activities and entertainment

Younger guests have a kids club, and families also have access to Fun Republic, an entertainment area for all ages about a 13-minute walk from the resort. With 11 pools and a long beachfront, there is plenty of room to spread out during the day.

Couples staying in The Reserve get a quieter, adults-only experience within the larger resort.

Beyond the resort, Punta Cana’s coastline runs for miles from Uvero Alto in the north through Bavaro to Cap Cana in the south. Popular day trips include Saona Island, catamaran and snorkel outings, and tours into the Dominican countryside.

Who it’s best for

• Best for: families, multi-generation groups and couples who want a luxury all-inclusive on Bavaro Beach with an adults-only section, many pools and a strong spa.
• Consider another resort if: you want a small resort, a fully adults-only property or a remote, quiet beach.

Getting there from Punta Cana International Airport

Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is about 27 minutes by car from the resort.

Resorts in Punta Cana are spread along a long coastline, so transfer times vary a lot from one area to another. Pre-booking a private transfer means a driver meets you at arrivals and you avoid negotiating taxi fares after your flight.
