Exuma Resorts & Tours

Exuma is a chain of about 365 cays and islands in the central Bahamas, known for its clear turquoise water, sandbars, the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park and the famous swimming pigs of Big Major Cay. Most visitors stay on Great Exuma, in and around George Town and Emerald Bay, while others choose small resorts on the cays such as Staniel Cay or Stocking Island.
International flights land at Exuma International Airport (GGT) at Moss Town on Great Exuma, about 15 to 20 minutes by car from Emerald Bay and George Town. The local currency is the Bahamian dollar, which is pegged to the U.S. dollar, and U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere. The drier season runs from about December to April, and hurricane season from June 1 to November 30.
