Palm-lined white sand beach with turquoise water on Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean known for clear water, coral reefs and Stingray City. Most visitors stay along Seven Mile Beach, a long stretch of sand north of George Town lined with resorts and condos, while quieter options sit in the East End and Rum Point areas.

International flights land at Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) in George Town, about 10 to 20 minutes from the Seven Mile Beach resorts and 40 to 50 minutes from the East End. The local currency is the Cayman Islands dollar, and U.S. dollars are widely accepted. The drier season runs from about December to April, and hurricane season from June 1 to November 30.
