Amalfi Coast Resorts & Tours

The Amalfi Coast is a 50-km stretch of steep, terraced coastline on the Sorrento Peninsula in southern Italy, known for its cliffside villages, lemon groves and boat trips to Capri. Most visitors stay in Positano, Amalfi or Ravello, in Sorrento just outside the coast proper, or in Vietri sul Mare and Salerno at its eastern end. Many of the most famous hotels are seasonal and close from about November to March.
International flights land at Naples International Airport (NAP), about 1.5 to 2 hours by road from Positano and Amalfi, about 1.5 hours from Sorrento and about 1 hour from Vietri sul Mare. The local currency is the euro. The main season runs from about April to October, with the warmest and busiest months in July and August. In winter many hotels, restaurants and boat services close.
