Sicily Resorts & Tours

View of Taormina and the Sicilian coastline with Mount Etna smoking in the distance

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean, at the southern tip of Italy, known for Mount Etna, Greek temples, Baroque towns and long stretches of coast. Most visitors stay in Taormina on the east coast, in Palermo or Cefalù in the north, around Syracuse and Ortigia in the southeast, or on the southwest coast near Sciacca.

Most international flights land at Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), about 50 to 60 minutes from Taormina and 45 to 60 minutes from Syracuse. Palermo Falcone Borsellino Airport (PMO) serves the west and north, about 35 to 45 minutes from Palermo. The local currency is the euro. The best months to visit are April to June and September to October, while July and August are hot and busy. Browse resorts and tours in Sicily below, from Mount Etna hikes and wine tastings to street food walks, boat trips and day trips to Syracuse and Taormina.
