Malta Resorts & Tours

Malta is a small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea, south of Sicily, made up of the main island of Malta, Gozo and tiny Comino. It is known for its honey-colored stone towns, its clear blue water and the walled capital, Valletta. Most visitors stay around Sliema and St. Julian’s, in Valletta itself, in Mellieħa in the north, or on quieter Gozo.
International flights land at Malta International Airport (MLA) near Luqa, about 15 minutes from Valletta, 20 to 30 minutes from Sliema and St. Julian’s, and about 40 minutes from Mellieħa. Gozo is reached by ferry from Ċirkewwa, a crossing of about 25 minutes. The local currency is the euro. Summers are hot and dry, and the swimming season runs from about May to October, while spring and autumn are mild and good for sightseeing.
