Nuevo Vallarta Resorts & Tours

Nuevo Vallarta is a planned resort area on the Nayarit side of Banderas Bay, just north of Puerto Vallarta across the Ameca River. It is known for its long, flat sandy beach, its marina and canals, and its golf courses. Most visitors stay in the large all-inclusive and family resorts that line the beachfront, many of them close to the marina.
International flights land at Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), about 15 to 25 minutes by car from most Nuevo Vallarta resorts. The local currency is the Mexican peso, and U.S. dollars are widely accepted. The dry season runs from about November to May, while summer brings heat, humidity and afternoon storms. Hurricane season on the Pacific coast runs from May 15 to November 30.
