Queenstown Resorts & Tours

Queenstown is a lakeside resort town on the South Island of New Zealand, set on the shore of Lake Wakatipu below The Remarkables mountain range. It is known as an adventure capital, with jet boating, bungy jumping and skydiving, and as a base for wine country and day trips to Milford Sound. Most visitors stay in the compact town center by the lake, or nearby in Frankton, Fernhill, Kelvin Heights and historic Arrowtown.
Flights land at Queenstown Airport (ZQN) in Frankton, about 15 minutes by car from the town center. The local currency is the New Zealand dollar. Summer, from December to February, brings long days for hiking and lake trips, while the ski season at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables runs from about June to October.
