White sand and clear turquoise water along White Beach on Boracay, Philippines

Boracay is a small island in Aklan province in the central Philippines, known for the fine white sand of White Beach on its west coast and the kitesurfing waters of Bulabog Beach on the east. Most visitors stay along White Beach, split into Station 1 in the north, the busy Station 2 around D’Mall and the quieter Station 3, or at larger resorts on the north and northwest tips of the island.

Most flights land at Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in Caticlan (MPH), a few minutes from Caticlan Jetty Port, where a boat of about 15 minutes crosses to the island. Kalibo International Airport (KLO) takes more international flights and is about 1.5 to 2 hours from Caticlan by road. The local currency is the Philippine peso. The drier season runs from about November to May, while the June to October southwest monsoon brings more rain and the chance of typhoons.
