Bangkok Resorts & Tours

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, a huge, busy city on the Chao Phraya River known for its gilded temples, street food, markets and rooftop bars. Most visitors stay along the riverside near the Grand Palace and Silom, around the shopping malls of Siam and Ratchaprasong, or on Sukhumvit Road, which is well served by the BTS Skytrain.
Most international flights land at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), east of the city, about 30 to 60 minutes from central hotels depending on traffic. Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), north of the city, mainly serves low-cost airlines and is a similar distance away. The local currency is the Thai baht. The cooler, drier season runs from about November to February, March to May is hot, and the rainy season lasts from about June to October.
