Chiang Mai Resorts & Tours

Chiang Mai is the largest city in northern Thailand, set in a green valley below the mountain of Doi Suthep. Its walled Old City holds hundreds of Buddhist temples, night markets and cafes. Most visitors stay inside or near the Old City moat, along the Ping River or in the lively Nimman area, while some choose quiet resorts in the hills of Mae Rim.
Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) is just southwest of the city, about 10 to 20 minutes from the Old City and Nimman. The local currency is the Thai baht. The cool, dry season from about November to February is the most popular time to visit, March and April are hot and often hazy, and the rainy season runs from about May to October.
