About Katikies Santorini
Katikies Santorini is a boutique luxury hotel in Oia, set at the start of the village’s main pedestrian lane and stepping down the caldera cliff. It is split into two settings, Gea House and Pelagos House, with whitewashed suites looking over the Aegean.
What sets it apart is its classic Santorini look, with tiered white terraces and pools, combined with a strong dining line-up led by Botrini’s. The hotel welcomes guests aged 13 and over, and younger children are directed to its sister hotel in Fira, so it suits couples and honeymooners.

Beach, pools and spa
There is no beach at the hotel, which is built on the caldera cliffs. Instead there are three shared pools, a heated main pool and two freshwater pools, including a lagoon-shaped infinity pool at the Upper Deck Lounge, plus private pools in some suites.
Spa suites offer body and facial treatments, and there is a fitness facility and hot tub.
Like most hotels on the caldera rim, the property is built into the cliff on several levels, so expect plenty of steps between the entrance, the pool and your suite. Guests with limited mobility should ask about access before booking.
Activities and entertainment
Santorini’s main travel season runs from spring to autumn. Many caldera hotels close or scale back services over the winter months, and pools may be closed outside the season, so check opening dates before you book. July and August are the busiest and most expensive months, while May, June, September and early October are usually warm with fewer crowds.
Oia’s shops, galleries and sunset viewpoints are a short walk away along the main lane.
Beyond the hotel, Santorini is all about the caldera views, the clifftop walk between Fira and Oia, wine tastings at local wineries, boat trips around the volcano and the hot springs, and the black and red sand beaches on the south and east coasts. Sunset in Oia is famous, so expect crowds in the village at that hour.
Who it’s best for
- Best for: couples and honeymooners who want a classic Oia hotel with caldera views and fine dining on site.
- Consider another resort if: you are traveling with children under 13, want a beach or need step-free access.
Getting there from Santorini (Thira) International Airport
Santorini (Thira) International Airport (JTR) is about 11 miles from the hotel, roughly 25 minutes by car. The hotel offers private transfers for up to four people.
Santorini’s airport is small and roads on the island are narrow and busy in summer. Booking the hotel’s transfer or a private car in advance saves waiting in the taxi line, which can be long when several flights land together.
