There is no kids club, so this is a better fit for families who plan their own days.

Around the island, Magens Bay on the north shore is one of the best-known beaches in the Caribbean, and Coki Point is a favorite for snorkeling. Charlotte Amalie has duty-free shopping and historic streets, and the ferry from Red Hook takes you to St. John, where much of the island is protected as Virgin Islands National Park. Day sails to the British Virgin Islands are also popular, though they need a passport.

Who it’s best for

  • Consider another resort if: you want a beachfront hotel, a spa, a kids club or daily breakfast included. Units are sold as vacation ownership, so availability can vary.
