What to expect on the day

After pickup, you cross to Gozo on a boat reserved for the operator’s guests. You then drive your quad, or ride as a passenger, along trails off the main roads, with an extended stop for a light traditional Gozitan picnic lunch. In summer there is a swim stop at one of Gozo’s bays. The day also includes a short boat trip around Comino to see the Blue Lagoon and the sea caves, before the boat takes you back to Malta and your pickup point.

Prices and extra costs

  • Included: Pickup and drop-off, the boat crossing to Gozo and back (or ferry tickets if needed), a quad bike to drive or share, fuel, helmets and hairnets, a tour and safety leader, a picnic lunch and third-party insurance.
  • Not included: Gratuities for the leader.

What to bring

  • Your driving license if you plan to drive.
  • Swimwear and a towel in summer.
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen and clothes you do not mind getting dusty.

Tips for a better day

  • Check your pickup: Pickup is from selected hotels or the closest pickup point in Malta or Gozo, so confirm the location when you book.
  • Bring the real license: Drivers need their actual license. A photo or copy is accepted with ID, and some countries’ official online licenses are accepted too.
  • Weather plan: In rough seas the crossing switches to the Gozo Channel ferry, and in bad weather guests may be moved to another vehicle such as an eJeep, a Jeep or a tuk-tuk.

Who it’s best for

Best for: Adventurous couples and friends who want to see Gozo’s countryside up close.

Consider another option if: You mainly want time to swim. The Blue Lagoon, Comino and Gozo cruise gives you 1.5 hours in the lagoon.

Restrictions

Drivers must be 21 or older and bring their driving license. Provisional and learner licenses are not accepted. Children must be at least 5 years old. The tour is suitable for all fitness levels, and the stops change slightly in summer.
