Aerial view of Dubrovnik Old Town with its city walls and orange roofs beside the Adriatic Sea at golden hour

Dubrovnik is a walled city on the southern Dalmatian coast of Croatia, known for its limestone Old Town, its nearly 2 km of medieval city walls and the clear Adriatic water around it. Most visitors stay in or near the Old Town, in the quieter Ploče area just east of the walls, or on the Lapad and Babin Kuk peninsulas to the west, where most of the larger hotels and beaches are.

International flights land at Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) in Čilipi, about 20 km southeast of the city and 25 to 30 minutes from the Old Town by car. Croatia uses the euro. The best months are May, June, September and October, when the sea is warm and the crowds are smaller than in July and August. Some hotels and boat tours close or run reduced schedules in winter. Browse hotels and tours in Dubrovnik below, from Blue Cave boat trips and sea kayaking to Old Town walking tours, Game of Thrones tours and day trips to Mostar.
