Okinawa Resorts & Tours

Okinawa is Japan’s southernmost prefecture, a chain of subtropical islands between Kyushu and Taiwan known for coral reefs, white-sand beaches, Ryukyu culture and the Churaumi Aquarium. Most visitors stay on Okinawa Island, either in the capital Naha or at the beach resorts on the west coast around Chatan, Yomitan, Onna Village and the Motobu Peninsula.
Flights land at Naha Airport (OKA), about 15 minutes from central Naha, around 1 hour from the Onna Village resorts and about 1.5 to 2 hours from the Motobu Peninsula. The local currency is the Japanese yen. The weather is warm most of the year, with a rainy season from about early May to late June and typhoon season from about June to October.
