Isla Mujeres Resorts & Tours

Turquoise sea and rocky shoreline along the east coast of Isla Mujeres, Mexico

Isla Mujeres is a small island about 13 km off the coast of Cancún, around 7 km long and narrow along most of its length. It is known for the calm, shallow turquoise water at Playa Norte, a relaxed town where people get around by golf cart, and the Punta Sur cliffs at its southern tip. Most visitors stay near Playa Norte and the town center at the north end, or in quieter hotels along the west and east coasts.

International flights land at Cancún International Airport (CUN). From there it is about 30 to 40 minutes by road to the Ultramar ferry terminals at Puerto Juárez, then about 20 minutes by ferry to the island. The local currency is the Mexican peso, and U.S. dollars are widely accepted. The drier season runs from about December to April, and hurricane season from June 1 to November 30. Browse resorts and tours in Isla Mujeres below, from catamaran trips and underwater museum snorkeling to whale shark tours and golf cart island tours.
