Oman Resorts & Tours

Oman sits on the southeastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula, with a long coastline on the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, the rugged Al Hajar Mountains and wide sand deserts. Most visitors stay in the capital, Muscat, either near the beach at Shatti Al Qurum or at the resorts in the rocky coves south of the city around Al Bustan and Barr Al Jissah. Many add a night or two in the mountains at Jebel Akhdar.
International flights land at Muscat International Airport (MCT), about 20 minutes from Shatti Al Qurum and 35 to 45 minutes from the resorts south of the city. The local currency is the Omani rial. The best time to visit is from about October to April, when days are warm and dry; summers are very hot on the coast. Browse resorts and tours in Oman below, from Muscat city tours and Daymaniyat Islands snorkeling to Wadi Shab hikes, Nizwa day trips and Wahiba Sands desert tours.
