Cape Town Resorts & Tours

Cape Town is South Africa’s oldest city, set between Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean near the southwestern tip of Africa. It is known for its mountain views, beaches, the Cape Peninsula and the wine country close by. Most visitors stay at the V&A Waterfront, in the City Bowl below Table Mountain, or along the Atlantic Seaboard in Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay.

International flights land at Cape Town International Airport (CPT), about 20 kilometers east of the city. The drive takes about 20 to 30 minutes to the city center and the V&A Waterfront, and a little longer to Camps Bay. The local currency is the South African rand. Summer, from about November to March, is warm and dry, while winter, from June to August, brings most of the rain.
