Who it’s best for

  • Best for: families, couples and first-time safari guests who want a full-service lodge.
  • Consider another resort if: you want a small, quiet tented camp or a short drive from Seronera airstrip.

Getting there from Kilimanjaro International Airport

From Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), most guests take a light aircraft to Seronera Airstrip (SEU), often via Arusha. The drive from Seronera to the lodge takes about 90 minutes, or longer if you stop for wildlife. The lodge does not list an airport shuttle.

Book a private transfer in advance so a driver meets you at arrivals at Kilimanjaro International Airport and takes you to your Arusha hotel or straight to Arusha Airport for your flight. Arrange your pickup at the Serengeti airstrip with the lodge before you travel, so you are not left waiting in the park.

Good to know

  • National park fees are charged per person per night
  • The lodge is unfenced, and wildlife moves through the grounds
  • Children are welcome, and the Kijana Klub is free
  • Pets are not allowed
