Meeting point
When you arrive at the main gate of Parque Ecológico do Funchal, follow the signs to "Barracão Bar." You’ll come across a dirt road that is easy to navigate and safe, leading you to a large parking area.
What to expect on the day
After pickup, you meet near the Funchal Ecological Park, get your wetsuit, helmet, harness and boots, and receive a safety briefing. Two certified guides then lead you through the canyon, where you walk in the stream, slide and abseil down small waterfalls. A snack and water are provided during the activity, and the guides take photos for you at no extra cost.
